Deja LOVED her "Happy Birthday" ...she never just said birthday, she'd always include the happy before it!
To start the day out The Perfect way....we got our first snowfall!! She has been anxiously awaiting this first snowfall!!
When we showed her out the bedroom window, she turned to Chase and said "Thank you for the snow daddy!"
Pure Excitement!
She ran out onto our deck to grab a handful....
...but quickly turned around claiming it was "hot!" Once we got some little mittens on her hands, she ran back outside to get a few snowballs to throw at her dad and stinky!
Deja was super lucky to have her birthday fall on a Saturday, so not only did she get her daddy home, but most all of her family came to party with us!
We had a birthday breakfast with hot chocolate, yummy fruits, and sprinkle doughnuts with a candle in toots.
I loved watching her face all day as she took it all in and ate up every second of attention!
Aunt Jess sent Dej this super cute Christmas skirt she made. Dej instantly put it on and started to dance (she can only dance if she has a skirt on...)!
She was kinda being a turd and wouldn't stand by her sign by herself.... this is something she's started lately. She has never ever had any issues with leaving her mom and dad...nursery has also been a piece of cake, so has babysitters, etc.... but the past month has been a completely different story! She is so clingy to me...she flips out if I talk about leaving her for an hour or so...and she has had MELTdowns at church. Poor Chase has had to sit with her as she screams both in the halls and in nursery. They have been having the three year olds come into primary for singing time to get them use to sunbeams...and for some reason it has freaked her out. She comes right into the primary room and over to my class to sit on my lap, and refuses to go sit with her class...like arms wrapped around my neck refuses! It is crazy...I don't get it!
The sign....
And...ha!! We managed to get one before she ran away quick.
Here she's sportin' her new age :)
For her party we had Little Caesars (kinda becoming a trend here...we've done it all three years now!) ...Can't really beat a hot and ready!!
AND...she got to have her Very Own pop! Haha....you can see how excited she was about that!
Krew also loved the pizza pizza! He downed two whole pieces!!
We played 'Don't eat....Rudolph!' Which was a huge hit with toot....she loved it!
Then, we played pass the present...
you know, the one where you open a present to find another present...
...and another, and another?! Krew liked this one!
Dej with all her presents!! I think she got more for her birthday than Christmas!! :)
She got lots of fun girlie 'salon' stuff from Gramma Jacki... glitter hair spray, glitter nail polish, and big girl shampoo!
Pretty excited for her 'Tangled' Rapunzel Doll.
When she saw it she exclaimed, "Yes!! It's the one from the toy store!!"
Some birthday cash...
Her 'HUGE' present from Courtney...
Lots of dang cute clothes and fun toys. (Won't lie...as much fun as it would be to have cousins from Aunt Court...it's kinda nice that she doesn't have kids of her own yet, because she spoils the crap out of mine!!)
Bustin' out the moves on her new piano!
Rock it Girl!
Krew also liked the piano.
Her big present from mom and dad.... a new doll house!
Krew liked checking out all the fun new stuff.
AND....a surprise (for mom also) present from dad.... A fish and fish tank! ....She named him Ahzoo.
Giving her daddy lots of loves for her special present.
When I asked Dej what she wanted for her birthday, she would respond every time with, "A Huge Present and a Cake!"
So...for her cake, I combined the two! (I also learned here that I am not a cake decorator! That simple square box was near nightmare to finish! Next time I am going to forget the cutesy stuff and go strictly for taste!)
Dej was pretty excited when she saw it though...so it made the late night totally worth it! :)
Getting ready to blow out the candles....
Uncle Brods caught 'helping'!
Happy Happy Birthday Big Girl!!! We sure do love you!!!!
Later that night....sporting her new coat and boots!
Our missionary uncle sent Dej this avengers tshirt. When she opened the package she was so excited saying, "Yes!! I love this!" Haha...she has no idea who any of those super heroes are!
Here is her 'gun' she's shooting the camera with!
And her scarey/tough guy faces!!!
(we took these last pictures to send to Grady as a thank you...she was cracking me up with all her poses. Sure do love this little spunky monkey!!)
