Country Girl

From the time Deja was itty bitty, she's had John Deere boots. The first two pairs had soft soles. When we got back to Idaho, I put her in them and they were waaay too small. So, Gramma Jacki went shopping with us to get Dej the next size up. I almost cried when I saw that they had hard soles. -Yet another sign that our baby isn't so much a baby any more!
Dej likes to follow Teva around, shaking her finger at her, usually saying 'no!'
Gotta love the little white chubby legs!

Brrroooom Brrooom

Deja LOVES the four wheeler at Papa's house.
As soon as she gets on it, she'll turn and wave saying, 'Bye! C-ya!' Then, she'll screech as she rides all around the driveway.
One morning Dej wanted a ride....so she walked towards it saying 'brrooom brroooom'.
Chase followed her and sat her up on it. As soon as she was on the seat, she looked down and saw that the key wasn't in..... so she put her hand out for her dad to give it to her. But when he wouldn't......she just sat there and scowled at him. Haha...Now that she's got it all figured out...how to start it, she isn't content just sitting on it in Park.

Need for Speed

On one of the first warm afternoons in Pocatello, Kaci took Dej out to ride on the scooter.
She did really good.... and stayed on the scooter while Kac pushed her around the sidewalk.
Despite the look on her face.....she really did like it! She was all smiles, until I got my camera out..... :)

Soccer Game

It's been fun being around for all of Deja's uncles' ball games... most of them have been a little cooler... but it's still been fun! This was one Saturday morning at Brody's soccer game. Deja spent most of the game upset because she couldn't run out onto the field to get the ball.
Grandpa was cold :)

Teva's Post

Oh Teva, you can make our lives so hard..... we can't go and do anything without including you or finding someone brave enough to take you on. You've destroyed our yard (in Colorado), chewed up multiple toys, and cost us hundreds of dollars...but we sure do love you and, really, our family just wouldn't be the same without you! Deja got a happy meal one night for dinner at a ball game...when we got home, Teva grabbed ahold of it.... and knowing she wasn't supposed to have it, she tried to run through the house to get away from me.
Haha....it was pretty funny, and instead of grabbing her I grabbed the camera.
Aww, Stinky..... I'm so glad we have you!!

Once You Pop The Fun Don't Stop

This girl loves to talk on the phone...but if you call her, she won't talk to you! If the phone rings, Dej will pick up anything... cup, pencil, book, babydoll.... and put it up to her ear and say 'Hello!'
Deja discovered Pringles while at Gramma's house...she loved them and loved to have the can All to herself :)

Big Huge Teddy Bear

Costco had these HUGE teddy bears right after Deja was born...I thought they were cool, but didn't get one. Ever since then I wished I would have.....so when we went into Costco a few weeks ago and I saw them I was so excited! (and it was dang cheap too!)
At first, Dej wasn't too into the bear.... it took up the entire shopping cart and I think it freaked her out a little to turn around and have her nose touch the nose of the bear!
But she warmed up quickly....and now loves that thing! She'll sit in between it's legs and read her books or play... (just like she does with Teva)Grady liked the bear too.... it's pretty soft and cuddly. And this is a good pic to show just how massive it is! :)

Casa de Boise

We FINALLY found a house and we LOVE it!!! Since we weren't able to sell our house in Colorado yet....we had to reenter the rental market and man! It was tough!! There are sooo many other people in our same shoes right now! Demand is high!! But things worked out great...we are renting from a young couple just like us...they got a new job that requires them to move out of state and so we're going to take care of their house for them! :) (oh....please, please, tenants in my house.....take care of it for me!!!) We'll be in Southwest Boise....and we mean it when we say visitors welcomed!! We made sure we got a house with at least one extra guest room so we can have all the visitors we can get!

Uncle Brods

Deja also loves her Uncle Brody....I'm not sure what it is with these boys, but she sure does like them! Somehow, we aren't sure where it came from, Deja started calling Brody 'BOO'. She will walk up to him and say "Hi Boo!" so dang cute. Brody has kindergarten every other day and it throws Dej off...on the days he is gone she walks around the house and looks in his bedroom yelling "Boo". When this picture was taken Brody was sad..... Deja could tell, so she (without any coaxing) walked over to him to give him a hug. She sure knows how to make ya feel better! Deja is always following Brody around....she thinks she is cool to be right by his side doing whatever he is doing. She also likes to snuggle on his bed.

Uncle Grady

Deja LOVES her Uncle Grady. His name was actually the first that she said. Not long after we came out (almost 17 months) she hollered after him one night after he left the bedroom. It was so stinkin' cute! Now, when we go to his baseball games, she'll stand at the fence and yell "Gra--dy"

Easter in Pocatello

Dej got to celebrate twice this year. After being in Boise on Saturday, we made it to Pocatello for Easter Sunday.
She got ahold of a real Easter basket this time..... though she may have preferred the purse! She remembered very well what she had learned the day before..... those little plastic eggs were filled with all sorts of goodies!
She again tried to get ahold of as many as she possibly could....even putting one under her chin to free up more space in her hands and arms.
Uncle Brods helped Dej get all the goodies out of her basket the Easter Bunny left.
Aunt Kac helping toot get the eggs that were up just a little too high.
I love her crazy morning hair..... this is also a pic of the puppy Dej got....it lights up and sings.
Grandma helped mom out and got Deja her cute little Easter Sunday get-up.
In an attempt to make her happy for pics....Grady got on the swing with her. She loves to swing.
And then..... this is why I don't have a super great picture of the entire outfit. I can't get that doll to slow down for a second. So....we'll just have to go with the 'running' picture!
Laughing or screaming? ........What's your guess?! (she's actually laughing, trying to wiggle away from me and my lens!)
And, of course, where there is a 'stinky' .... Dej is also. Poor little Roxy doesn't like Deja and her 'loves' quite as much as Teva does!

Easter in Boise

We got to Boise just in time for Easter weekend. Jeni was so awesome...even on bedrest, she helped us get Deja involved in all the festivities. (well....actually, we were out looking at houses and missed the neighborhood egg hunt, so we just did our own in Chad and Jeni's backyard) Both Deja And Teva had fun! We didn't have a basket for Dej.... so she just used her little purse to put her eggs in.
She had a lot of fun going around and picking up the eggs.
I figured she'd burn out before she found the dozen eggs we hid, but she was all over it. She found all 12 and kept going....so we had to 'rehide' them.
She really liked the eggs once she found what was inside..... :)
Dad helped her try the Reeces that were hiding in her eggs.... she loved them and kept poking her finger through the wrapper and into the candy before we could stop her.
And....she was pretty proud of herself and would clap after each egg she found.
Dej didn't want to leave Aunt Jeni out.... She'd walk over and share some of her eggs after finding them.
