11 Months for Krew!

Krew's now only a month away from his birthday!  He is still such a happy and sweet boy...but the older he gets, the more his little personality comes out.  He is turning into a little bit of a handful.
He can throw a mean tantrum and does so pretty regularly now...alot are caused from his sister not letting him take everything away from her as she plays, and even more come from me not giving him what he wants!  He has this magnetic draw towards phones, remotes, computers....and he can get quite made when we don't let him just run off with them.
He still Loves to eat...pretty much anything.  He hasn't picked up on any words other than mamama and an occational dada or ba...for ball.... but he will grunt and squeal to let you know he wants or needs more food when he's in his high chair.  He's started to shake his head....he'll give a definite 'no' or 'vigorous yes' when you hold up food.
He is SO close to walking!!  He will stand up without holding on to anything all the time....he can walk holding one of your fingers...but when you let go of him, he will smile at you and drop to his knees :)
He does love to push anything and everything around the house.  He spent one morning pushing Chase's suitcase up and down the hall for a good half hour!  He does pretty good maneuvering things around the house, but every once and a while he will get stuck and start screaming until you come and help him get unstuck again!
He can clap real good and likes to smack his lips at you.  He's doing better napping...not so many little cat naps during the day.  He's started staying down for an hour or so.  He also now really sleeps thru the night!  It's wonderful.  Most mornings he will wake up around 6:30 or so.  But he did sleep in past 7:30 one day!
He still loves bath time and will kick and splash when you lay him on his back.
He's got a total of six teeth...two on the bottom and four on top.  I love his toothy smile.
He continues to be such a great addition to our family, we love him so much!!
And, of course, we can't take pictures without getting one with Deja loving on the Krewster.  He is such a good sport....most of the time!!

Errrr....

I didn't know what to title this one.... so I went with ERRR... because I'm sure that's what her dad would have said.  I don't think the intent of the new basketball hoop was to become a rack for all the princess skirts!!

Haha!  I laughed out loud when I saw what she was doing.
In this pic she is showing me all her skirts....she informed me that she couldn't look at the camera and show me at the same time. :)

SNOW DAY!!

I remember having snow days when I was in elementary school....my mom would come out and make a snowman with us!  Well...the Boise kids got one last week and Dej ended up being able to enjoy it with them!
Our cute little neighbor and her friend came over and asked if they could take Dej sledding on the hill at the school.  This works out great.....the school is just on the other side of our fence.  So Chase went out and threw them all over the fence and we were able to watch from the window.

Deja had a blast....they drug her all over the place in that sled!!

Let it Snow baby!!

Roles Reversed

I just thought this was funny....at my mom's house, Krew had fun pushing Dej around in the stroller.  They both giggled and giggled over it.  (Krew also likes to give Dej kisses...sometimes they turn into bites-she's brave to let him keep doing it!)

Dramatic Day

DISCLAIMER: Long story following.  I want it written down, and this is the place I'm writing it!
Back before Christmas, we decided to meet some friends at the library for music time.  Afterwards I had three Christmas packages to mail.  There was a post office right next to the library...so after the music class, we ran back to the car to get the packages.  Deja wanted a piece of gum, at this post office they always give her a sucker...so I told her to just wait until after she had her sucker and then I'd get her a piece of gum.  With my arms fully loaded, with Krew and my packages...I kicked the car door shut with my foot...just as Dej reached in to get a piece of gum.  It was one of those slow motion moments...I looked down at her little tiny fingers stuck in the crack between the doors, but heard no scream.  I hoped that maybe they were so small that they didn't get shut in...but then she let out a whimper.  Poor baby girl.  Her two little fingers were completely shut in the door.  I hurried and dropped my packages to open the door...that's when she really started crying.  They were instantly Black and bleeding and one tip was already double in size.  I was worried that there might be fractures since they instantly swelled and discolored so fast...I tried to get Dej somewhat comfortable and Krew all buckled in his seat and then headed back home.  I called and talked to the nurse at our Dr. office.  Just as I pulled into our driveway she told me to take her into urgent care so I could get an x-ray.  So we did a big loop and pulled into our neighbor's driveway.  My plan was to see if she could watch Krew for me.  Well, of course, they were gone...out of town.  Not knowing who else to call really quick I just headed to urgent care (we've got one only a mile from our house).  Poor Dej was hurting and still crying.  When we got to the Dr. office and she saw where we were she started screaming.  We made quite the scene walking into the building as she continued screaming.  Luckily, there were alot of very nice nurses that helped me by holding Krew when I needed them to...and the Dr was so kind.  We ended up being there for 3 hours...and it was right during lunch time so Krew was hungry and grumpy....and the Dr gave us a granola bar from his own lunch.

We got X-rays and didn't find any fractures...one nail was draining blood well, but the other wasn't.  So, they had to take a hot needle to her nail to get it to drain.  She was so brave...after we got into the building and sat down, she stopped crying and never let out another peep.  When they made the hole in her nail, I could tell it hurt and that she was trying really hard to not cry again.  I was so proud of her.  I keep asking her where she wanted to go after we were all done...I would go get anything....milkshakes, doughnuts, chicken nuggets, you name it.  All she wanted was her daddy to come get her and take her to 'munch'.  Unfortunately, her daddy was still five hours away...but fortunately, he was already making his way home that day.
I'm hoping the lesson taken away from the day was to listen to mom (and dad) ...we still refer to her fingers daily, as a reminder of why we need to listen.
(after the initial hurt was over...I think she kind of liked the attention she got while showing everyone her fingers --we had our ward Christmas party that night, so she got to show all her friends--)
It's now the middle of January and she has lost both nails...we'll see how long we get to have the visual reminder....some days I think she's already completely forgotten about the drama that followed not listening!!

In Heaven!

This little babe has been in Heaven since Christmas!  She's so spoiled!

Between all the cute clothes, jewelery, princess dresses, shoes, dolls, toys....... She's one happy poopie!

She's also been into me taking her picture again....even going so far as to ask me to take her picture...and I'm all over that!!
:) I can't help it...she's getting so big and she's so beautiful!
Back at home....she wanted me to take her and Tangle's picture.

And then she wanted to kiss her.
And this one is my favorite.....She's already got a copy of it in her bedroom!

Sledding-Chase's Style!

Seriously, what a Beautiful White Christmas we had!!  I really can't get enough of that stuff!!! Let It Snow Baby!!!

We had SOOO much fun playing it it!  Papa Orllo is totally awesome and went and got a sled so we could pull the kids behind the fourwheeler.
 We all had a blast!
Not sure if Krew was able to see anything from underneath that hat!
I think this girl loves the snow as much as I do!  Makes my heart smile!!

Even Teva joined in on the fun.
Now, these ones were quite comical...Chase was driving the fourwheeler backwards so we could get a few pictures with both the kids in the sled!

...Deja just kept sinking lower and lower as we rode along.
Love my little snow babies...here's to a lot more snow and the snuggles to go with it!
Love this face!
And those blue eyes.
Chase helped Dej make a little snow cave....She was clueless as to what he was trying to do and kept trying to cave it in!

The next day, we were back at it again....but this time we had all our cousins with us!  And...Jess had her camera out-so I stole all these next pictures from her!! :)

Deja and Ty took the first ride together.
I love this picture she got of Papa...he's so good to these kids...he went back out to the store to get another sled so we could have two fourwheelers going at the same time!
All piled in and ready to go!

I had to jump in to see if Chase could dump me....He couldn't! :)

I think Krew almost preferred riding in the sled rather than the fourwheeler.
After a few good runs....they all came back melted into each other!!!
And after a few laps on the warm fourwheeler...Krew melted in his daddy's lap too!
