She Got Her Smarts From Her Mom....

For our first 'go' at anything close to preschool, I decided to start with shapes.  I drew up a few circles and wrote a different color inside each one, with the intent of Dej matching the colors and coloring each circle accordingly.  When I looked over to see how she was doing, she matched up the colors perfectly...but instead of scribbling inside, she was mimicking my circles.  Simple, yes.  But it's those simple things that can melt your heart and make you beam with pride! 

 

My Brown Eyed Beauty

Just the toot as of lately....nearing the end of our summer adventures.

I know I am a bit biased, but this girl is gorgeous!! 

She's a little bit more sass, than sweet these days...but I am so glad I get to be her mom!

I love the excitement and glow she always has in her eyes.

This was one of my favorite summer outfits she had....so I asked her to pose for a few quick pictures in it.

She can be such a ham!

Sometimes....and it is rare these days, she will really get into it and pose for me.

Ha! I was trying to get her to pose cute....can't remember what my exact request was, but this is what I got!

Oh sweet, firey Dej...I sure do love you!

I had to throw this one from my phone in too....this was one day this summer...I told Dej to hurry and get some shoes on to go byebye, and this is how she came out of her room... I'll repeat, Sure do Love this little gal... she makes me smile daily!

Wanna Carrot?!

Chase pulled up all the carrots from our garden one night....I couldn't believe how many we had!  Deja thought it was pretty cool....she loves eating the carrots from the garden (yet, I struggle to get her to eat the store bought baby ones....)

Lets Go Fly A Kite!

Our property backs up to an elementary school....Deja loves to watch the kids playing in the park.  One day, there were a few people out with kites.  She wanted to get herself one of those things....so her awesome dad picked one up while he was out one afternoon. 

She loved it!

 

They were able to successfully get it up in the air without much wind help.

 

I love watching her chase and follow her dad around, it's pretty cute!

I love how he curls his toes together!  I think at this point he was wanting to join in on the fun....he's not a huge fan of sitting still.

 

Deja loves to give her little brother lots and lots of loves!

Teva enjoyed the kite chasing session...she just loves having us outside running around with her!  (I love her coloring...she can blend with all the dirt and weeds pretty good....there are times when I have to look and look to find her in our yard!)

Lovely Lashes

I have been dying to put some mascara on this girlies long lashes... we finally tried it one day.  She wouldn't cooperate for a good picture...but just look at those things!!  They about touched her eyebrows!!  She loved it and for the several weeks following, she'd request to have "the scary stuff" on her eyes.  :)

Daddy's Favorite Time of Year!

We Love Fall...and the start of Football season around here.... it's our Daddy's favorite time of the year, which he has passed onto the rest of us.  The kids (well, Deja and I) Love to get all decked out in our Bronco gear on game days!

Deja got some special "stickers" this season...which you will see in the pictures below, she LOVES!

This was right before the ONE AND ONLY game we attended this year.  We opted out of our season tickets, which kinda broke Deja's heart.  She was so upset when Gramma Jacki & Papa Orllo came up and went to the game without us.  She kept asking me when we were going to leave to the game.  The next home game, Gramma & Papa were nice enough to share their tickets with us...but after only about 30 minutes we remembered why we decided to opt out this year.  Neither Chase or I were catching much of the game.  Sooo...we packed up and made it home before half time, which was the best plan Ever!  Both kids played happily on the floor while Both parents got to watch Every Single Play! :)
