Deja has been anticipating her birthday for months...months....now!! It all started clear back in the spring when she would ask for anything and everything everywhere we went! I just started telling her, "ok....for your birthday!" It totally stuck, and from then on anytime she sees something she wants she'll point it out and say "I want this for my birthday!" As the day got closer and the holiday toy catalogs came out....she would sit for a good 30 minutes or so circling everything she wanted. (most pages had every single thing circled)
She got to wear a special birthday crown at preschool.....and take a birthday snack to share.
She wanted to have a 'snow princess' party....so we made snowflake sugar cookies that she decorated with tons and tons of sprinkles.
The morning of her birthday Finally came....and it couldn't have been more perfect. The kids got to wake up to our first real good snow! It was a winter wonderland outside....and they were stoked!!
After eating a doughnut birthday breakfast, we bundled up and went outside to play in the pretty white stuff!
Deja has been so excited for Grady to come home from his mission so she can throw a snowball at him.....and she finally got her chance!
This was Krew's first real time with snow.... after he got over the fact that it is 'told!' he loved it!
Krew enjoyed being pulled in the sled by Dej...but after she dumped he, he didn't want to be on it when she had the reigns!
After playing outside, we came in to get all ready. Deja got a special princess pampering....with Kaci doing her make up, Courtney doing her hair, and mom and gramma Tam doing her nails and toes. We completed the look with a new snow princess outfit.
She loved every second of it! (Gramma Tam even brought her back a real princess crown from Disneyland!)
The night before, we took the birthday girl to see Frozen.... she was pretty excited to have an 'Elsa' cake!
Not only was outside a winter wonderland.....but Dej woke up to the inside of our house being one too. Her excitement for everything was so much fun!
She had requested lots of balloons....was was super happy to have an Olaf one too!
(Krew and his boots....he LOVES those things and insists on wearing them All The Time!)
We played pin the nose on Olaf and find the snowflake.
Then Deja surprised us all with a puppet show she wanted to perform :)
She's pretty lucky and has lots of people that love her....she had as many presents to open as you do on Christmas!
I think the wait was worth it for her....she enjoyed 'her' day to it's fullest!!
