Enjoying the South

Chase's parents came out to see us last month. We had so much fun touring the south and showing them what we've been up to out here! Below are random pictures of all the places we hit up...we saw it all...now I can leave :)
Fort Nashborough...in NashvilleThe Parthenon...a Greek temple..."Athens of the South"....in Nashville (I was explaining to Chase the way it was built and the 'art' involved....all learned from my art 101 class last fall :) !)
Country Music Hall of Fame....Nashville
The General Lee...from Dukes of Hazzard...at Cooter's Place in Nashville (I got a sweet ball cap signed by Cooter here!)
Outside the Grand Ol Opry House....in Nashville
Inside the Opryland Hotel....the pictures say it all....it was beautiful!
The place was HUGE...and just crazy beautiful...with tons and tons of flowers and trees and waterfalls...even a little river throughout it with little mini boats for rides!
Beale Street all lit up at night (we were there a little early...and missed the weekend crowd!)
Coyote Ugly....we didn't go in, just saw the sign :)
We finally got a picture of both of us on Beale St.
Graceland....it was quite a place! Probably my favorite part....the Lisa Marie, Elvis's plane...it was pretty sweet to walk through. My favorite car of Elvis's (he had a ton!) Elvis's Mansion...not much compared to celebrities now a-days, but I'm sure in it's day it was sweet It was cool to see what was in style back then...all the shag carpets and old school tvs!
The casinos in Tunica...they sit out on the Mississippi River...we hit up the Paula Dean buffet, which is awesome!!
On the bridge going into the casino.
And here is a video of the famous ducks at the Peabody Hotel....we loved it!

Kim and Dad loved visiting a lot these places too when Charlce got married last spring- wish I wouldn't have been huge pregnant so we could have gone!
Tell Chase I said to smile when he gets his picture taken!

We did love Tennessee! I was ready to move but Kent said NO! I love culture and to see parts of history, we only read about here in Idaho. I want to go back. I loved the Opryland Hotel-absolutely loved it. Our kids were amazed by the size and we took the little boat tour. Great fun!!

Dani! I got your email today about you living in paradise! Sounds so great and like you can mountain bike all summer without it getting too hot. I am so stoked for you!

Hey Dani! I was going to follow your blog, but I didn't see the thing too! Hope all is well. Looks like you're enjoying the South, minus the snow :]
